Quotes (etc.) from the OT that should be considered for any Prequel Trilogy story.

I've been working on this Prequel Rewrite for a few years now. I don't want to hear about why you thought the prequels were good, I like them as much as any Star Wars fan and watch them just as much as the Original Trilogy. They are by no means faultless, but just check out this link (Byzantium's Shores: chronicling the misadventures of an overalls-clad hippie: Fixing the Prequels: TPM) to see how a few revisions could clear up alot of the plotholes, explain the motivations and make the characters more relatable and sympathetic.

Therefore, I am trying to create a story where the surprises of the Original Trilogy are kept (except Obi-Wan being Ben) that still works well as a story.

I want to make sure that I'm considering every quote, character, costume, insinuation, setting, etc. that the Original Trilogy provided as context.
Please note: I am only taking the original films into account, not the scripts, drafts, deleted scenes, novels, comics, games, shows, etc. Therefore ONLY Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Let's start at the first one shall we?

* The battle that involved the stealing of the Death Star plans is considered the Rebel Alliance's first victory.
* Ships have main reactors.
* Darth Vader (in suit) is capable of lifting a man off his feet.
* Blasters can be set for stun.
* If there are no lifeforms in an escape pod, you may as well not shoot it.
* Transmissions can be beamed to ships.
* C3-PO's primary function is protocol and his first job was programming binary load lifters. Of course he can speak Bocce, it's like a second language to him.

I need to go to sleep now, but please assist me in finding all the things that we may find useful on this journey.
