After many years of wanting, hoping or asking for various characters to be made into some form of collectible & seeing nothing I've ever suggested turn up as a new mini-bust, statue or anything else for that matter I thought to myself I wonder if I could create a mock up for a character I'd like to see made & show these collectibles companies the potential for something great is being over looked??? Short answer was no, I spent hours playing around & did an awful job to be fair..., I'd show you but as I told my good friend Julian, I was unable to upload my disaster onto photobucket & believe me that's probably a good thing. ;)
ANYWAY..., it then occurred to me (a light bulb went off in my head..., or above my head if we're wanting to animate the thought for full effect), I needed to seek out someone with skills, who has a talent for creativity, art & time & time again has shown the potential for mini-busts (or statues) made & just how they could've looked..., yes you've guessed it, I was straight onto Lightsword (Julian) to seek his aid in my mission to create a potential design for my chosen character, Lobot..., I also wanted it to be representative of a Gentle Giant mini-bust as I've basically narrowed my collecting to Gentle Giant mini-busts, statues & maquettes. :)
Well what can I say..., Julian was very helpful & supportive of my idea & boy did he deliver & bring it to fruition!!! I thought he'd be thinking it to much like hard work or say no (which would've been fine) BUT instead he took to the task very enthusiastically & created me a masterpiece the very next day (I think it was)..., despite his busy schedule & here for your appreciation is the result of Julian's hard work in bringing to life a much neglected character from the best Star Wars movie (The Empire Strikes Back)...

For me this has the WOW factor, firstly it was great to see Lobot, secondly he was just so damned impressive visually, thirdly he was better than I'd hoped for & also the pose was great too!!! Julian did me proud & I'm very grateful to him for giving me a visual representation of a character I'd really love to see made into a mini-bust..., I looked at what Julian had designed & my first thoughts were "WOW, I want one!!!" I'll let the man himself go into what he did in order to create this masterpiece (if he wants to), I'm just happy to see Lobot take on a visual form rather than just being a thought in my head. :)
I could say plenty more but I'll pause for now & just say THANK YOU Julian for creating my idea for me & doing what I couldn't do, I appreciate it greatly. :)
