Being a graphic designer, I always wanted to put my personal touch to the vintage Kenner cards. I felt Gentle Giant's versions we're not without flaws, even if they matched the original pretty closely. I never understood why the color blocks behind the figures we're not always the same size (sometimes too high, too wide or not enough), rarely matching the plastic bubble's size. Also, the fact that the Kenner logo was never at the same spot, and that they simply took it out last year was really annoying to me.
So I managed to redesign the cards of the figures I had, gave them uniform color blocks, and took them a step further by changing some of the pictures for ones I liked better, even if that meant modifying the original concepts. I also wanted a unifying look to the pictures of the characters, showing them all from head to waist (instead of being all over the place with far out photos for some, and extreme close-ups for others.)
