STAR WARS: REBELS---its coming and with it, hopefully some new vehicles and some re-issues.
For the NEW VEHICLES---Im totally guessing but wth..
1-THE GHOST SHIP---Definitely being done by Lego, Given that Hasbro never made a Twilight (which would have been interesting) Im hoping to see a new ship and Im sure a price tag to reflect it.
2-IMPERIAL TROOP TRANSPORT---from the sketchpad of RMQ and Kenner of Yesteryear, Im sure we will see this.
3-Z-95 HEADHUNTER---Lego did it and vehicles sell, I wouldn't be surprised if this showed up.
4-PHANTOM---listed for the 2014 LEGO SW list, some type of small speeder I think.
For the RE-ISSUES
1-LARGE WING TIE FIGHTER--large vehicle, large price, re-using same mold, I can see Target using this or the smaller wing easy.
2-SMALL WING TIE FIGHTER -see above
3-TIE INTERCEPTOR ---May be too advanced but I wont rule it out.
4-TIE BOMBER--I can see Hasbro really putting this one out to add to variety and re-using yet another mold and providing an exclusive for WALMART OR TRU OR TARGET.
5-X-WING ---its a possibility.
This new series is set 8 years before ANH, so the IMPERIAL influence will be there.
THINGS I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE
1--ACCESSORY SETS ---Especially a TIE FIGHTER GROUND CREW/GROUND EQUIPMENT SUPPORT and landing stand for the TIE Fighter. 1 tech, 1 droid, small vehicle, ladder, tool box, stand with attatching Y tipped girders to hold TIE Fighter.
2--IMPERIAL TURRET/PLAYSET---If done right, it would have a playset inside, the top turret would be what you would have seen in ANH, make three sections that stack or can be interchanged or mixed with extra playset --ie taller or shorter towers etc.
3--If HASBRO is savy, I would offer a bunch of cool downloads to print out walls, panels, control boards, doors etc and how to build your own diorama with a computer and printer. HASBRO can really offer a lot for nothing and draw in fans even more so. Hooking up with FRANK D. from DIORAMA WORKSHOPS would be the ultimate alliance. Frank already has a buffet of free downloadable stuff but Hasbro can add and enrich the mix.
I don't see HASBRO putting out some playset unless its something like the IMPERAL DS TURRET, making that turret and guns would be kinda tough but it could definitely be used for re-issues , just like a lot of the stuff they do nowadays.
